The Power of the Unknown

Updated: Feb 16, 2021

Do you ever feel lost?

Well many of us do. We can feel lost about all sort of things like our purpose in life for example. How do we get there? & during the middle, why is it so difficult?

What I’ve learned is that God is the number one source that we can confide in when we feel lost about anything. All the things I’ve learned and all the encounters he’s taken me through has forced me to understand that things ultimately pan out for his plan and purpose in our life. I know this may sound cliché, but the universe always works in our favor if we allow the uncertainty in. What is so amazing is the unknowing. A wise man once told me that what God has in store for you is so great that if you knew the beginning to end, you may not want to take on the course and endure his purpose for your life. Think of Moses, God had such a huge purpose for him, but there was a point during his journey where he was completely lost, but Moses never lost the faith, he may have wearied a bit, but ultimately, he believed in God’s plan. The beauty of life and feeling lost is giving God the trust and faithfulness that he will prevail, and his plan is the perfect one. Life is unique and its extremely important that we don’t worry and fret because what is meant for us will wield. Trusting God is so important because when we do that we give our weight of fear to Him, we leap into the unknown feeling terrified but excited about the future.

Freedom gives us peace. God gives us that freedom to allow the peace to reside within us. What is so beautiful about trusting God is that in all the difficulty on making it to the promise land, you can actually enjoy it because he will fulfill the journey before you make it there. Sometimes people are so consumed with accomplishing the goal, they don’t enjoy the process. Trusting God and allowing peace inside our hearts gives us the opportunity to enjoy the journey. Life is hard enough, and people make it much more difficult when they don’t stop to smell the roses, cliché again, but its real. We literally have to stop and talk to God FIRST on a DAILY BASIS in order to not feel lost and uncertain about our purpose. Like I told my good friend before, this world that we live in is huge and there is room for all of us to be whatever God has created us to be. We cannot allow our fear to cause us to tremble and doubt the success that God has put inside of us. As the bible says in Genesis 39:3 “when his master saw that the Lord was with him and the Lord gave him success in everything he did, Joseph found favor in his eyes and became his attendant.” Also, in 2 Kings 18:6-7 “He held fast to the Lord and did not stop following him; he kept the commands the Lord had given Moses, and the Lord was with him; he was successful in whatever he undertook.” This is what we all have to understand about our purpose in life, it starts with God. Communicate with him first, allow his leading to guide you, through it all, Good, bad, indifferent. It’s clear that each person throughout the bible talked with God First and always followed what he told them to do. We have to follow what God tells us to do. Being obedient is the first step to getting to your purpose, because that is the gateway to freedom.

Life can be whatever we choose it to be because we have the freedom to decide. Thank God for free will. Life only gives you what you are willing to put into it. The bible teaches us we reap what we sow, so the more we sow into God and the more we communicate with him about all the things we need and the needs of others, the more he will communicate back and answer all our prayers. The key in this life is to never remain idle, trust God in all aspects of life, especially when you don’t understand. Being lost is amazing because it gives us the opportunity to get to know God on a deeper level which will ultimately elevate us into deeper divine fellowship. Trust, everyone goes through trails, but having God by your side makes your trails worth it because like 2 Peter 1:4-8 teaches “God has given us his very great precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make the effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance, and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measures, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
